The funeral of Gordon Ray Leween, of Smith Falls and formerly of Deseronto was held from the White and Morris Funeral Home, Deseronto on Tuesday afternoon. He was born on the Tyendinaga Reserve 82 yrs. 99 formed a guard of honour at the graveside. The bearers were 4 sons and 2 nephews of the deceased and were David, Leonard, Harvey, and Gussie Leween and Roy and Cecil Green. For some years he farmed in Tyendinaga township and then entered construction work with the Dupont Co. German was born in Tyendinaga township, 75 years ago, the son of the late Mr. Deseronto, died in Napanee Memorial Hospital on Thursday afternoon.
